The Cottage

The building at number 1 Colloredogasse was built in 1884 by the Viennese architect, Carl von Borkowoski, under the supervision of the ‘Viennese Cottage Architecture Association’. It was built as a semi-detached house, typical of the early ‘Cottage movement’ – in the later phases of this architectural style the villas were increasingly opulent.

The surgery dates from 1887 and Dr Bergmann-Caucig is the 3rd generation of the family who is practicing here as a doctor.

The surgery is located on the upper floors and comprises 2 treatment rooms which, irrespective of the treatments which are being undertaken, are used alternatively by Dr Bergmann-Caucig.

The medical cosmetics facility at the surgery have been integrated into the existing building in a sensitive and respectful manner, paying attention to the period architectural features. The facilities comprise of 4 modern treatment rooms which are fitted with the latest equipment, a skin cream ‘bar’ and a large terrace for outdoor relaxation.
