Regenerative Microneedling (exosomes)

The next level of biostimulating skin rejuvenation. Exosomes – tiny messengers of cell communication – deliver precise regeneration and rebuilding signals to the skin. Combined with high-precision microneedling, this creates one of the most modern treatments for stimulating collagen, elastin and skin quality at cellular level.

How does exosome needling work?

Exosomes are nanoscale extracellular vesicles – tiny biological messengers of 30 to 150 nanometers that occur in almost all cells and regulate communication between cells. They carry growth factors, peptides, microRNA and other bioactive signaling molecules, thereby controlling repair, regeneration and rebuilding processes in the tissue.

In aesthetic medicine, highly purified exosomes are used that are obtained in specialized laboratories and specifically optimized for skin regeneration. In exosome needling, we combine a high-precision microneedling procedure with the infusion of these active ingredients: through ultra-fine micro-channels, the exosomes reach the upper and middle dermis – right where they take effect.

The effects: activation of the fibroblasts, increased production of collagen and elastin, improved microcirculation and a significantly reduced level of inflammation in the skin. As a result, the skin looks visibly firmer, more even and more radiant – with a skin quality that goes beyond classic active-ingredient treatments. Exosomes are therefore considered the next generation of biostimulating procedures after polynucleotides and PRP.

What you can expect from exosome needling

Exosomes work on a level that classic active ingredients cannot reach: they speak to the cells in their own language. Instead of addressing individual symptoms, they activate the skin’s entire repair and rebuilding cascade – deeply, broadly and sustainably.

What the treatment achieves:

  • Cell communication in the body’s own language: Exosomes deliver exactly the signals the skin cells need for regeneration and rebuilding – without introducing foreign volumizing substances into the skin.
  • Visibly better skin quality: Firmness, elasticity, glow and skin texture improve at the same time – a clearly visible healthy-skin effect instead of isolated wrinkle correction.
  • Strong collagen and elastin production: The growth factors contained in the exosomes stimulate fibroblasts particularly effectively – with clear effects on firmness and fine lines.
  • Anti-inflammatory effect: Exosomes modulate inflammatory processes in the skin. They are therefore ideal for a tendency to rosacea, irritated skin or as a follow-up treatment after intensive procedures.
  • Faster skin regeneration: Ideal in combination with laser, radiofrequency or fractional treatments – healing is faster, and the final result is visibly better.
  • Improvement of acne scars and pigmentation disorders: The regenerative signals smooth the skin texture and even out the skin tone – a clear advantage for post-acne and fine scars.
  • Natural result without volume: No change to your facial expressions, no “filled” look – the skin simply looks healthier, smoother and more vital.
  • Very good tolerability: Since exosomes correspond to the body’s own signaling pathways, the treatment is usually very well tolerated even by sensitive skin.

Exosome needling is particularly suitable

  • for declining firmness, first fine lines and tired skin
  • for dull, stressed or easily irritated skin
  • for a tendency to rosacea or reddened, irritated skin
  • for acne scars, fine scars or uneven skin texture
  • as a regenerative follow-up treatment after laser, CO2 or radiofrequency procedures
  • for patients looking for a highly modern anti-aging treatment without fillers
  • as preparation for special occasions, for an intense glow effect

Exosome needling compared with other active-ingredient treatments

In recent years, several generations of biostimulating active ingredients have become established. Put simply, the development can be classified as follows:

Active ingredient Mode of action Strengths
Hyaluronic acid / skin booster Moisture retention in the dermis Immediate hydration and glow effect
Polynucleotides (salmon DNA) Biostimulation of the fibroblasts via DNA fragments Skin quality, elasticity, gentle regeneration
Exosomes Cell communication via growth factors, peptides and microRNA Broadest range of effects: regeneration, anti-inflammation, skin structure, glow
Our tip: Polynucleotides and exosomes complement each other excellently. We use exosomes especially where particularly intensive regeneration, an inflammation-modulating effect or a very broad improvement in skin quality is desired.

FAQs

Frequently asked questions about exosome needling

Exosomes are nanoscale extracellular vesicles – natural packages of messengers used for cell communication. They contain growth factors, peptides, microRNA and other bioactive molecules and thereby transmit signals between cells. In aesthetic medicine, highly purified exosomes specifically optimized for skin regeneration are used.

Both treatments are biostimulating but work on different levels. Polynucleotides (salmon DNA) stimulate the fibroblasts primarily via DNA fragments and lead to better skin quality, elasticity and moisture retention. Exosomes work more broadly – via a large number of signaling molecules – and address regeneration, inflammation modulation and skin structure at the same time. The two procedures complement each other very well.

No. Exosomes do not add volume. They are signaling molecules that stimulate the skin to regenerate itself and to form more collagen, elastin and hyaluronic acid. The result is natural and develops over several weeks.

For almost all skin types – especially for declining firmness, dull or stressed skin, a tendency to rosacea, acne scars and as a regenerative follow-up treatment after more intensive procedures. The procedure is usually very well tolerated even by very sensitive skin.

We recommend a course of 3–4 sessions 3–4 weeks apart. To maintain the result, a refresher every 4–6 months is ideal.

Slight redness, small pinpoint bleeding spots or slight swelling may occur briefly. These usually subside within 24 to 48 hours. Make-up is usually possible again the following day.

A first glow often appears just a few days after the treatment. The actual biostimulating effect – that is, the formation of new collagen and elastin – develops over several weeks. The best result is visible after the course is complete.

Yes, very well in fact. Exosomes combine ideally with radiofrequency needling, fractional radiofrequency, IPL, laser treatments or classic microneedling. Their use as a regenerative follow-up treatment after intensive treatments such as a CO2 laser or picosecond laser has proven particularly effective – healing is faster, and the final result is better.

Yes. Exosomes have an inflammation-modulating effect and are one of the few treatments that can also be used meaningfully if you have a tendency to rosacea. We clarify your individual suitability in the preliminary consultation.

We use only highly purified exosome preparations processed in specialized laboratories that meet the applicable quality and safety standards. In the preliminary consultation we clarify your individual suitability and possible contraindications.

The treatment is not performed during pregnancy and breastfeeding, in the case of acute skin inflammation or herpes outbreaks in the treatment area, active autoimmune diseases, active cancer, or a known allergy to the local anesthetic used or to ingredients of the preparation. If you take blood thinners, please consult us beforehand.

Direct sunlight should be avoided for 1–2 weeks, and sun protection with SPF 50+ is a must during this time – also for an optimal treatment result.
