Glycolic acid fights signs of aging, sun damage, sallow and dry skin, dissolves hardened skin and improves acne and acne scars. Glycolic acid is the most well-known and effective of the Alpha-Hydroxy-Acids (AHA). Glycolic acid offers the patient a broad range of therapeutic benefits as a conventional fruit acid peeling. At the same time the risk of irritated skin is a lot lower with a Glycolic peel. With this method no corneal layer is removed from the other layers of the epidermis. In this way this acid achieves an optimal balance between efficacy and skin tolerance. Glycolic acid stimulates the cell division so that many new cells are generated. These thicken the epidermis and improve the skin’s ability to trap moisture. The skin appears fresher, more radiant and wrinkles are smoothed out.
First of all, the skin is cleansed from make-up residues. Afterwards the pores are deep cleaned with the assistance of a hydro abrasion device. The Glycol peel is applied to the skin. The strength of the acid is determined by the indication and skin type and is selected by one of our specialists. At the end of the treatment, the acid is neutralized with a special solution.
